Pregunta ¿Cargar cadena específica del idioma del recurso?


En un punto de una de mis aplicaciones de Android necesito cargar cadenas de un idioma específico. Por ejemplo:

 values:    <string name="txt_help">Help</string>
 values-de: <string name="txt_help">Hilfe</string>
 values-fr: <string name="txt_help">Aider</string>

Ahora necesito el texto predeterminado (valores).

¿Hay alguna forma de cargar la clave "txt_help" con un idioma determinado "en"? No puedo encontrar un método donde pueda establecer una configuración regional como un parámetro adicional.

¿O puedo crear un nuevo ResourceManager con una configuración regional determinada y leer la cadena a través de este objeto de recurso?

Mirando en la documentación, esto parece prometedor

Resources standardResources = context.getResources();
AssetManager assets = standardResources.getAssets();
DisplayMetrics metrics = standardResources.getDisplayMetrics();
Configuration config = new Configuration(standardResources.getConfiguration());
config.locale = Locale.US;
Resources defaultResources = new Resources(assets, metrics, config);

En otras palabras, cree un nuevo objeto de Recursos configurado a una configuración regional estándar.

De mi propia pregunta y tomando referencia de esta respuesta y esta respuesta, Se me ocurrió la siguiente solución de clase personalizada:
